Right now I have product from Bill Black and San Benito Braiding.
As most of you know, there is quite a long period of waiting for an order from Bill Black. His braiding is in great demand and all of his work is becoming valuable for horsemen and collectors alike. A bosal, or in fact any custom braided product, by Bill Black only goes up in value with time. I am a long time friend of his, having buckarooed with him on the MC, and am fortunate to be able to carry his inventory on this site.
I also have product made by San Benito Braiding. Their product is USA made and they stand behind all of their work. ALl of their bosals and bosalitas made for me are made according to my specifications. Their kangaroo and rawhide braidings are some of the finest that I have seen.
Here are some pictures of a few of the Bosals and Bosalitas which are available. These are only an example of what might be in stock. The inventory is constantly changing and sometimes this web site is not updated frequently enough to show the constant change in inventory. I usually have quite an assortment on hand of different sizes, weights, and colors. Feel free to contact me with what you are looking for and I just might have it. The braiders are consistently sending me new product that probably isn't shown below. All of these items are AMERICAN MADE, and their braiders stand behind their work.
All of my mecates are American made by
Doug Krause. Krause 100x mane hair mecates are some of the best made ropes available, not to forget to mention his 100% twisted mohair mecates. Doug Krause has been braiding for over 30 years. About 10 years ago he bought "Blind Bob" Mills business and continues making only quality rope products. Doug has received several awards for his braiding including 1998 Elko Gathering Best of Show and 2001 Will Rogers Award Braider of the Year. The 4-strand get-down and the 2-rein mecates do not have a heart, but are made with 100% mane hair or mohair. All of the 6-strand mecates which I carry are made with a 100% mane hair or mohair with a heart(core). The hearts are made with either mane or mohair, depending on if it is a mane or mohair mecate. Though more expensive, these allow for more feel and weight, which is what I like in all my mecates. Though I prefer all my mecates made with a heart, this does understandably make them quite a bit more expensive, and a person can find other mecates on the market quite a bit cheaper, but remember, they are priced that way becaue they do not have a heart(core). I can get mecates without a heart for those on a tighter gear budget. Click HERE for MECATE PRICING.
The pictures represent only a sampling of the supply on hand. They are only used for reference as to sizing and pricing. Colors of mecates come in a vast assortment that is constantly changing. Contact me for specifics, and if I don't have it on hand, I can certainly get it for you.
BITS AND SPURS

Now and then I have a few special hand crafted American Made bits and/or spurs which are made to my specifications. These pieces are exceptional in quality and craftsmanship. These spade bits are not only valuable in and of themselves, but they are also made to be functional in use on a bridle or 2-rein horse. They are beautiful works of art,and I can only offer a limited number for sale at any given time. These pieces will vary by artist according to what I have on hand at any given time. The prices will usually range from $1,500.00 to $3,000.00. Right at the moment, I have a couple of bridle bits and a pair of spurs made by Bruce Haener. These are really works of art!
RIATAS
From time to time I also come across some pretty nice riatas. All of the riatas I offer for sale are again American Made by various buckaroos who know the art of braiding. They stand behind their work, and they know that fellow buckaroos will be using their gear. Some of these braiders are already legends in their own time and their braiding will become valuable as time passes. I usually only have maybe one or two available, if that. Contact me and I can let you know if I have any coming in or if I happen to have some in stock.
SNAFFLES
During my training and riding, I also utilize the use of snaffle bits. I am very particular about the snaffle that I use. I prefer to use the Tom Balding Snaffle Bit. These bits are precision balanced, do not pinch, have a pure copper inlaid sweet-iron mouth, and have a good weight feel to them. These are offered in a few different styles. I have a limited few available.
SADDLE PADS

There are alot of saddle pads on the market today. I can only speak about one of them, since they are the best ones that I have found to use on my horses. They are made by 5 Star Equine Products. These pads are all Natural, 100% Wool Felt (90% virgin wool blended with 10% recombed wool). This is 40% MORE virgin wool than ANY other 100% Wool Pad. They have 3X more compression protection then synthetic neoprene pads, and they offer even weight distribution and impact absorption. These pads have 4X greater wicking ability, and eliminate heat build-up. I have looked and looked for a pad that conforms to the horses back with a natural built-in curved backline. These are what I have looked for. Until I find something out there better, these are the ones that I recommend. I don't keep all available colors and sizes in stock, but I can order them. I usually have the basic colors of black and natural, in 2 sizes of 1/2" underpad, and 3/4" regular. All of the pads are full skirted of 32" x 32".
I now have a series of saddles that I am offerring for sale. I usually have only 1 to 3 on hand at any given time. They are being made by Bob Ray, who has been a saddle maker for over 25 years. I have owned many of his saddles, and they are one the highest quality made saddles around. They will vary from very plain to one that has alot of tooling. They are all built according to my specifications. If you are interested in owning one of these saddles, contact me and I can tell you which ones I currently have on hand. Visit the Saddle page for current information on these saddles.
